Tony Soulié was born on December 9, 1955, in Paris. He is a versatile French artist, excelling in photography, painting, sculpture, engraving, lithography, and various forms of visual art. While he is primarily recognised for his prowess as a painter, his creative portfolio extends to encompass a wide array of artistic expressions, including the crafting of artists' books, sculptures, and prints. Additionally, he has contributed to the realm of installations and performances. Tony Soulié is a New Abstraction artist who gained recognition in the 1970s, using painting, Land Art, photography and writing in his work. Theatre, acrobatics and dance, Tony Soulié is interested in all the arts. He manages to combine his work as a painter with his taste for travelling to extreme areas such as deserts, shores, volcanoes and dense forests. He has had over a hundred solo exhibitions around the world. His work has been shown in hundreds of exhibitions around the world, and can be found in many public and private collections, including the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris and the Hawaii Arts and Culture Foundation.
