Profile & Bio
A student of Maurice Denis, François Quelvee specialized in large compositions and favored genres like nudes, bouquets, and North African landscapes. He exhibited widely in Paris, including at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Indépendants. He also designed sets and costumes for successful productions at the Paris Opéra. He taught at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs and collaborated with other artists.
